The young golfer can count on multiple prominent backers as she makes her first LPGA appearance this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns numerous international courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically advised me to go out there and relax," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, making him rather occupied."
As an amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has position 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she can receive tips from 15-time major champion, who is dating Vanessa.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai stated.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to play, relax, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge several most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
