Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the couple.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, stated he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his profound loss.

"Adequate time has elapsed that I can finally put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his first meeting with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began spending more time together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "a single day without joy".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob valued immensely. This is one of the many reasons he was the ideal person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I think of you." He concluded with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese also honored Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved being with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was very funny and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with his co-stars, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Sealed

This week, a Los Angeles court official ruled to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" connected to the probe.

The relevant authority had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a public database citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

After the tragedy, public figures offered divergent reactions.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making divisive remarks that were broadly criticized by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his criticism to the detractors last week. Conversing on his show, Rogan described the comments as "disappointing" and suggested they showed a concerning absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by remarking that an associate ought to have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
