An Palestinian-American youth having endured nine months in Israel's custody without charge has been freed.

Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old during his detention last February within the occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, which he previously denied.

American diplomatic officials expressed satisfaction with Mohammed's liberation.

Now sixteen years old, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.

According to them, he appears showing signs of malnutrition, and is suffering from conditions acquired while detained.

Via family representatives, the youth's uncle conveyed their "tremendous relief".

The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" over the last nine months.

"At this moment, our priority is ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention he requires after experiencing Israel's abuse and brutal treatment for months."

American authorities said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance to Mohammed's family.

{"American leadership gives utmost importance to the protection and welfare for United States citizens"," it added.

A group of American legislators endorsed a document to US authorities and President Donald Trump, urging greater action to secure his release.

The father, a father-of-four who runs an ice cream business based in Tampa, had earlier stated his son only confessed about rock throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.

The father hadn't visited nor direct contact following the detention, learning information solely regarding the treatment through judicial records.

He stayed without charge at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.

The facility also contains mature inmates, some of whom have been convicted for major terrorist activities and homicide.

There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, per correctional service statistics.

Numerous remain uncharged while advocacy organizations, including UN bodies, say some have suffered abuse and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, the uncle stated they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member family member Sayfollah.

This young American-Palestinian who the Palestinian health ministry said succumbed to assault by radical settlers during a confrontation during summer.

Initially, the Israeli military said they were examining reports a Palestinian civilian had been killed.

Both young men had worked together in the family ice cream shop based in Florida.

No one has been charged regarding Sayfollah's death.

"We demand the American government to safeguard our relatives," the uncle stated.
