Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Fatal Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday evening. The athlete was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on December 29th, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was declared medically stable to leave and heal privately.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” Omotosho said.

Honoring the Deceased

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

This update on his health arrives after the boxing community had expressed sympathy for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
